About Stroke Management: Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability. High blood pressure and diabetes are the most important risk factors. Patients affected by a stroke often present with hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the body) and are rendered dependant for mobility. In most cases, speech and urinary function are affected.
