Consumption of water plays a very important role in maintaining health according to Ayurveda, but consider a few important things as well: 
* Drink enough amount of water in early morning, it helps in flushing all the toxins in the body.
* Always drink water sitting down on a chair or on the floor.
* Say no to water after one hour of your meal.
* Drink water through sip by sip.
* Say no to ice cubs in water.
